For some reason my lion has no body. But I do need a stitch marker and I did talk 
to family while doing it , always losing count . BUT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, i’ll make him again one day, a few so theres a group. I’ll do em all different colours.

AH if you look closely …. or from far away…the edge isnt even but im going to border these squares so it should be okay and fixable. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT maybe the last one will b amazing

in a book in the library. Libraries are great places to find stitches and patterns. I found books on how to make your own yarn, browsed them but one day imma give it a go. I like making things from Scratch

So I cracked the books, Handy Handy Super Dandy. Im glad I got them. I have no idea what I am doing. Oh my goodness am I ever a beginner when it comes to crochet. I followed a few pictures, guessing at the pictures (usually came out), did some improvised crochet amigurimi bunnies when I was 16. But honestly its been years and I only started this year with granny squares. Not really knowing any terms….now I know I knew none. Im going to post as I learn here, mostly as a hobby and a place to find out how to crochet. But not all by me. I kind of want to take you through the Journey of crochet, and maybe since I bought the Needlecraft book, some embroidery and knitting and whatever else there is to do. I love crafts and love creating things, especially from scratch. If i could I’d have my own SHEEP =] but that’s alright.

not sure what i’d like to do, but one book, THE BIG BOOK OF CROCHET STITCHES
has so many stitches its beautiful. I am no expert, most likely a novice as I can only crochet simple stitches. Did learn star stitches though, will link the AMAZING tutorial i found and what my finished product looks like.
Personally my goal is to link a picture to each stitch in the book. 🙂
